The Gateway Arch is an iconic steel structure that stands at 630 feet tall. This arch is not only the tallest arch in the world but also very famous as the landmark of St. Louis. The surrounding area of this arch contains open spaces and paths with beautiful views of the arch from all the sides.
Grand Basin, Forest Park’s fountain pool, is a huge pool surrounded by fountains and lies immediately below Art Hill and the St. Louis Art Museum. The presence of the steps, water, and art museum makes for a graceful sight. This site seems to be very beautiful, particularly in the evening hours of fall.
The Japanese Garden at the Missouri Botanical Garden is one of the biggest Japanese Gardens in North America. With the lake, stone lanterns, bridges, and islands, the garden is tranquil and elegant. Spring and autumn are especially beautiful seasons for the garden.
Tower Grove Park is an example of a Victorian park where one can find colorful gazebos, fountains and some trees that are already old. All the photographs that are taken from this park look like paintings due to these fancy gazebos and ruins.
The Jewel Box is an Art Deco-style structure that serves as a glass greenhouse in Forest Park. The building features glass walls that allow for sufficient lighting. There are also reflecting pools around the building. The Jewel Box can serve as an ideal spot to visit regardless of the season because of the indoor plants.
