The Parroquia is a beautiful pink sandstone church with tall neo-Gothic spires and is considered the most famous landmark of San Miguel de Allende. It looks amazing during the sunset and in the night when it is illuminated. It makes a perfect backdrop for proposing to someone.
El Jardín is the main plaza in front of the Parroquia, with trimmed trees, iron benches, and mariachis. This is the town center and where all the action happens in the evenings. The town square is very lively and a very romantic place to propose to someone.
Mirador is a lookout point atop the hill from where you can see all of the rooftops and the church domes. This is especially beautiful at sunset as the whole town becomes golden. It is a quiet place with a great view.
El Charco del Ingenio is a botanical garden and nature reserve that has a canyon, a water reservoir, and numerous cacti. The paths provide beautiful views of the canyon. This is an ideal place for those couples who appreciate nature and open spaces.
The Calle Aldama is a vibrant and cobbled road that offers a spectacular view of the Parroquia at its end. The colorful walls and ancient doors make this one of the most photographed streets in the city. It would be perfect to propose on such a road.
