Why Paparazzi Proposals

Why a team, and not one photographer you found online.

At Paparazzi Proposals we understand that you have a big life decision ahead, and it needs all kinds of support: from emotional guidance to help with logistics and planning. Over a decade of working and learning, we have developed protocols to make sure your proposal is executed in the most beautiful way.

A proposal is not just a photographer. Behind your date there is a team: coordinators and planners, photographers, editors and decorators, drivers and musicians. No last-minute cancellations, no no-shows, no unexpected changes (unless the weather doesn't permit). We are here for you, through what is likely one of the most important events of your life.

“You can go with one photographer you found online. It's not impossible, but you're taking a risk: we often get couples who are going through a last-minute cancellation, and we do our best to accommodate them, but a proposal planned on a tight deadline rarely ends up as perfect as you want it to be. Come to us from the beginning, and we'll support you with the whole team.”

Sacramento hands you a backdrop for every kind of marriage proposal. Ideas & inspiration

Sacramento Proposal Ideas.

Not sure how to ask? Start with the place. The spot you choose sets the tone of the entire moment, whether you want it hidden and intimate or grand and unmistakably Sacramento.

Sacramento proposal decorations, set up before you arrive

Every idea below works beautifully on its own, or dressed up with full proposal decorations: a styled picnic, a candle heart glowing at dusk, or giant MARRY ME letters waiting as you round the corner. Your proposal planner arranges the permits, the timing and the setup, and your photographer is already in position, so all you have to do is walk them there. Tap any idea to read the full location guide.

Our work

Sacramento Proposal Photographer.

Every one of these was shot by a local Sacramento secret proposal photographer, standing exactly where we said we'd be: hidden in plain sight, lens ready, half a second before they turned around.

Location guides

Sacramento Proposal Locations.

The full story on every spot above: when the light is best, how private it really is, and what we can set up for you before you arrive.

World Peace Rose Garden, Capitol Park

The garden features over 600 rose plants in a formally arranged space that includes a seating space in the shape of a heart – the rich color on display right on the Capitol grounds. The seating area shaped like a heart provides an appropriate romantic focal point for the occasion. The peak of the bloom season ensures an abundance of color and aroma.

Tower Bridge

Tower Bridge is a gold-colored drawbridge built in 1935, connecting downtown to West Sacramento across the Sacramento River. The two high towers and golden color make the bridge very prominent on the waterside, especially during the evening after the lighting is turned on. One can actually walk on the bridge, so it would not be difficult to ask the question there.

Old Sacramento Waterfront

Old Sacramento refers to the historic district situated by the riverside. It features wooden boardwalks and brick buildings that date back to the Gold Rush era. The river boat known as Delta King is berthed on the riverside, and Tower Bridge can be seen downstream. It has an old town charm captured in photographs.

McKinley Park Rose Garden

This rose garden in East Sacramento features over a thousand roses that are planted on well-manicured walkways in McKinley Park. From late April through May, all these flowers are in full bloom. This garden is not as busy as Capitol Park but is popular among the locals.

He was able to get to the spot a bit earlier and even had his gear get a little wet to capture the best moments, now that is some high level dedication!

This is so much better than getting together a flashmob. Having a memory of the event is totally worth every penny, because our family and friends are able to enjoy it with us.

He was so thorough on the on-site walk-through, taking me through the process and giving me tips. On the actual day he was on-site way early and constantly in contact.
