Why Paparazzi Proposals

Why a team, and not one photographer you found online.

At Paparazzi Proposals we understand that you have a big life decision ahead, and it needs all kinds of support: from emotional guidance to help with logistics and planning. Over a decade of working and learning, we have developed protocols to make sure your proposal is executed in the most beautiful way.

A proposal is not just a photographer. Behind your date there is a team: coordinators and planners, photographers, editors and decorators, drivers and musicians. No last-minute cancellations, no no-shows, no unexpected changes (unless the weather doesn't permit). We are here for you, through what is likely one of the most important events of your life.

“You can go with one photographer you found online. It's not impossible, but you're taking a risk: we often get couples who are going through a last-minute cancellation, and we do our best to accommodate them, but a proposal planned on a tight deadline rarely ends up as perfect as you want it to be. Come to us from the beginning, and we'll support you with the whole team.”

Philadelphia proposal decorations, set up before you arrive

Every idea below works beautifully on its own, or dressed up with full proposal decorations: a styled picnic, a candle heart glowing at dusk, or giant MARRY ME letters waiting as you round the corner. Your proposal planner arranges the permits, the timing and the setup, and your photographer is already in position, so all you have to do is walk them there. Tap any idea to read the full location guide.

Our work

Philadelphia Proposal Photographer.

Every one of these was shot by a local Philadelphia secret proposal photographer, standing exactly where we said we'd be: hidden in plain sight, lens ready, half a second before they turned around.

Location guides

Philadelphia Proposal Locations.

The full story on every spot above: when the light is best, how private it really is, and what we can set up for you before you arrive.

Rittenhouse Square

A square which is one of the five originally designed squares in Philadelphia that has tree-lined walkways and a fountain located at its center within an urban park setting. The formal layout of the garden along with the presence of the established trees gives it an elegant appearance.

Love Park

This location has the well-known Philadelphia LOVE statue, with City Hall and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in the background, creating a unique picture of Philadelphia. With its vibrant colored big lettering, the LOVE statue is recognizable, making for a fun proposal photo.

Philadelphia Museum of Art

The Neoclassical museum is extremely well-known for its “Rocky Steps,” with panoramic vistas along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway to City Hall. The large steps and columns give real scale to the image. Standing at the top looking down upon the Parkway truly provides an image of triumph.

Fairmount Water Works

A Greek Revival riverside landmark by the Schuylkill River with columned pavilions and river views just near the Art Museum. The classic architecture along with the river creates a romantic, almost European atmosphere. This is a more private spot compared to the Art Museum steps just above it.

Longwood Gardens

This is one of the most prestigious public gardens in the nation, located roughly 45 minutes away from the city, with conservatories, fountains, and meticulously maintained gardens no matter what time of year it is. The size and diversity of the gardens make it so that there is always a new, equally gorgeous environment waiting just around the corner.

RCA Pier

A riverside area on the Delaware near the RCA Victor plant in Camden, featuring open river views and the Philadelphia skyline. The industrial background gives the area a unique, textured look you won't find anywhere else. From here, the skyline stretches across the water with nothing in the way.

Art Museum Fountain Plaza

An ornamental fountain terrace at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, up the steps from the Parkway. The symmetrical layout around the fountain gives it an elegant, almost European atmosphere. Conveniently located near many other landmarks in the city.

As a mother of only one child, this is the perfect gift. Hiring Paparazzi Proposals to capture this event was the best thing I could have ever done for my son and his future bride. The photos are perfect and the moment was captured forever.

It could have been overwhelming to realize you were suddenly in a photo shoot that you didn’t plan for, but he was super kind and easy going. I dabble in photography myself and can be pretty picky about it, his work is beautiful.

He knew what he was doing the second he got there. He gave tips on how my brother should have his girlfriend walk through the door, and even got down on one knee himself to make sure the position was perfect. The photos were ready 2 days later.
