There’s something for every couple in this sunny city – from silver screen, to sandy shores. When you're ready to capture your movie-worthy moment, we are here to help you plan.
Packages from $495. Takes 30 seconds, no payment, no commitment.
Every package includes a consultation with ideas and maps from our Los Angeles team. You pay for the package in full at checkout, so message a planner first and we will confirm your date is free.
Why a team, and not one photographer you found online.
At Paparazzi Proposals we understand that you have a big life decision ahead, and it needs all kinds of support: from emotional guidance to help with logistics and planning. Over a decade of working and learning, we have developed protocols to make sure your proposal is executed in the most beautiful way.
A proposal is not just a photographer. Behind your date there is a team: coordinators and planners, photographers, editors and decorators, drivers and musicians. No last-minute cancellations, no no-shows, no unexpected changes (unless the weather doesn't permit). We are here for you, through what is likely one of the most important events of your life.
“You can go with one photographer you found online. It's not impossible, but you're taking a risk: we often get couples who are going through a last-minute cancellation, and we do our best to accommodate them, but a proposal planned on a tight deadline rarely ends up as perfect as you want it to be. Come to us from the beginning, and we'll support you with the whole team.”

Not sure how to ask? Start with the place. The spot you choose sets the tone of the entire moment, whether you want it hidden and intimate or grand and unmistakably Los Angeles.
Los Angeles proposal decorations, set up before you arrive
Every idea below works beautifully on its own, or dressed up with full proposal decorations: a styled picnic, a candle heart glowing at dusk, or giant MARRY ME letters waiting as you round the corner. Your proposal planner arranges the permits, the timing and the setup, and your photographer is already in position, so all you have to do is walk them there. Tap any idea to read the full location guide.
Every one of these was shot by a local Los Angeles secret proposal photographer, standing exactly where we said we'd be: hidden in plain sight, lens ready, half a second before they turned around.

1
Griffith Observatory
It sits on top of the hills, overlooking downtown LA, the Hollywood sign, and on a clear day, a view of the Pacific – the quintessential view of Los Angeles. As for the building itself, it has just as much photography potential as its view. It’s quite difficult to beat the sight of the Hollywood sign and skyline in one shot.
2
El Matador State Beach
This Malibu beach has large caves, tall cliffs and majestic rocks shooting up right out of the sand. The majestic rocks emerging from the sand make the beach look mystical. It is one of the most picturesque beaches along the entire coast of California.
3
Grand Park
This downtown LA park links City Hall and the Music Center, featuring colorful seating, fountains, and skyline views. Colorful seating and fountains create a lively atmosphere in this modern scene set in downtown LA. The towering City Hall building in the background creates a sense of civic scale.
4
Venice Beach / Boardwalk
This is the most eclectic beach area in LA, with the boardwalk, street entertainers and the Pacific as the backdrop. The eclectic combination of street entertainers and storefronts makes it unique and lively. This is a great choice for couples that enjoy the eccentricities of Los Angeles.
5
Point Dume, Malibu
It is an amazing headland that overlooks the Pacific Ocean in Malibu, featuring dramatic bluffs and wide coastal views. It is indeed a beautiful location, with sweeping views of the coast, perfect for a romantic proposal.
6
Laguna Beach
This is a traditional Southern California beach town with rocky coves and tide pools. The rocks and tide pools add some texture rather than just sand. This is a relaxing and quaint beach town compared to LA’s busy beaches.
7
Exposition Park
A cultural park in the vicinity of downtown LA with rose gardens, museums and the Coliseum nearby. The formal rose garden offers a refined and colorful environment in proximity to the cultural facilities of downtown. It is an easy option for a couple that seeks greenery around the city center.
8
UCLA Campus
This collegiate campus in Westwood has mature trees, manicured quads and Romanesque Revival architecture. Romanesque architecture in brick and mature trees give this campus a charming, collegiate feel. This would be a nice option for alumni or couples who have an affiliation with the college.
9
Marina del Rey
Marina del Rey is a small-craft harbor on the coast just south of Venice, with sailboats and yachts lining the docks. Our photographers have covered proposals here on gondola rides and on harbor cruises from Fisherman's Village. On land, the harbor entrance is surprisingly private in the hour before sunset, when the boats come back in. The lawn at Burton Chace Park makes an easy backup if the walkway gets busy.
10
Terranea Resort
This is an oceanfront resort on the Palos Verdes Peninsula with landscaped gardens facing the Pacific Ocean. The combination of well-maintained landscaping and the open ocean results in a relaxing yet luxurious atmosphere of a coastal resort. It is definitely convenient and classy since the ocean comes right to you.
11
Carmel Beach
A beautiful Central Coast beach a few hours' drive north of LA, with cypress trees and white sand. The cypress trees surrounding the beach make it unique and picturesque. It’s a great place for the couple who wants to make their proposal a beach getaway.
