This is the largest public garden in Baltimore, a beautiful garden located on the grounds of a Victorian manor house, including formal gardens, mature trees, and meandering pathways. It is a very peaceful and romantic setting in Baltimore. This garden offers a contrast between formal garden layouts and natural wooded areas, giving you both in one place.
Baltimore's famous waterfront has tall ships, the city skyline seen in reflections on the water, and the unmistakable atmosphere of Baltimore whether during the day or at night. The old ships that line the waterfront give the place a certain charm that cannot be found in a regular city port.
Federal Hill Park is located at the top of a steep hill on the southern side of the Inner Harbor, offering visitors an incredible view of the skyline of Baltimore. The park is rather tiny, containing some benches, cannons, and a walkway along the hillside. There are hardly any people there in the early morning; however, in the evening hours, many tourists visit the park.
Mount Vernon Place comprises four little squares that surround the Washington Monument in the Mount Vernon district. There are fountains, sculptures, and manicured gardens on the squares, which are encircled by old brick houses and churches. It has an idyllic, almost continental atmosphere despite being located in the center of the city. The place looks particularly beautiful in the spring and during the holidays, when the monument is illuminated.
